Description: Qing dynasty tea bowl and saucer, (saucer 12cm diameter, bowl 7.5cm diameter x 3cm high), with simple flower design to saucer. Recovered from a trading vessel which sank in the South China sea in about 1730, recovered by divers in 1999. They originated from the kilns of Jingdezhen in the Jiangxi province of China. These factories were famous for their high quality porcelain produced for imperial usage, as well as their wares intended for export to the west. These items all date to the Yongzheng rule which was 1723-1735. (No. Q27).
